Founded
1999.
Michael Fairfax founded Pacific Building Solutions in 1999 as a high-end home builder for Fiji's residential market, drawing on his experience as an Australian master builder.
PBS adapted quickly to the unique challenges of building in the islands — remote locations, unpredictable weather, scarce skilled labour, complex logistics. To overcome them, we strategically brought construction in-house, growing organically and through acquisition.
Today the PBS Group is one of Fiji's largest construction companies — 1,100+ employees, a 3,200m² covered Lami workshop and yard, and 187+ projects delivered across the South Pacific.
